Marco Brambilla

Der kanadische Künstler Marco Brambilla ist bekannt für seine Rekontextualisierung populärer und gefundener Bilder sowie für seine Verwendung von
3D-Bildgebungstechnologien in öffentlichen Installationen und Videokunst. Brambillas Arbeiten wurden international ausgestellt und befinden sich in den Sammlungen des Museum of Modern Art, Guggenheim Museum (New York); San Francisco Museum für moderne Kunst; ARCO-Stiftung (Madrid); und die Corcoran Gallery of Art (Washington DC). Zu den bemerkenswerten Shows gehören das New Museum, New York; Santa Monica Museum of Art (Retrospektive); Seoul Biennale, Korea; Breites Kunstmuseum; Borusan Contemporary, Istanbul; und Kunsthalle Bern, Schweiz. Seine Arbeiten wurden beim Venice and Sundance Film Festival sowie in der Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Schweiz, gezeigt. Brambilla hat mit Creative Time und dem Art Production Fund in New York an öffentlichen Kunstinstallationen gearbeitet – darunter Nude Descending Staircase No.3 (2019), das vom Art Production Fund während der Frieze New York im Oculus WTC präsentiert wurde.

Brambilla ist Preisträgerin der Tiffany Comfort Foundation und der Tiffany Colbert Foundation.
