1949-59 living and working in Paris
from 1950ies working additionally as writer, publisher and being collector, founder and patron
1953 establishing of the William and Norma Copley Foundation, later known as Cassandra Foundation
1967 developing the SMS - artists - collaboration (SMS for “Shit Must Stop”) in New York City
1992 fully moved to Key West, Florida where he dies on May 7, 1996
